R J Tromp has lived his entire life in various communities of the Cowichan Valley where he and his wife Ginny have raised two beautiful children. The Cowichan Valley, with its diversity in both its topography and its citizens, lends itself well as an idyllic backdrop for great fiction.

R.J. finds great inspiration for his writing either by walking in the woods, alongside a river or by sitting on a bench watching people as they pass.
